This Night Reading of the Word.....

Psalm 18:28-36 (New King James Version)

28 For You will light my lamp;
The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
29 For by You I can run against a troop,
By my God I can leap over a wall.
30 As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

31 For who is God, except the LORD?
And who is a rock, except our God?
32 It is God who arms me with strength,
And makes my way perfect.
33 He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
And sets me on my high places.
34 He teaches my hands to make war,
So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
Your right hand has held me up,
Your gentleness has made me great.
36 You enlarged my path under me,
So my feet did not slip.

Today is the Day.....

In which I got my tools and resources to start my Avon my business. Yes, I am a Avon Independent Sales Representative. I am so excited to take this title and grow my business. I really want to get out of my shell and share Avon products that I use myself. I finish my online training yesterday and I must say it was A LOT but at the same time easy. I have so many ideas on how to grow my business, for example talking to people about the products, asking people online if they want to receive weekly brochures from Avon, ads on penny saver, ads on craigslist, fundraising, etc. Praying over this business.

If anyone want to be put on my email list, in which I will email weekly brochures, visit My Avon Site and check out the great products and buy what interest you.

Morning Bible Verse

Psalm 36:5-12 (New King James Version)

5 Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the great mountains;
Your judgments are a great deep;
O LORD, You preserve man and beast.

7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.
8 They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.
9 For with You is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.

10 Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You,
And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 Let not the foot of pride come against me,
And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 There the workers of iniquity have fallen;
They have been cast down and are not able to rise.

True Woman Movement--Chapter Four

And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14

These are the words that Mordecai said to Esther when he knew that there were plans by Haman to kill off the Jews. Esther being married to the King was in a conflict. There was a law that if a man or woman go to the king inside the inner court would be put to death. Mordecai words was to point out to Esther that "who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this." Esther decided to put away all the fears she might had and began to fast and pray. Esther was a bold woman in which she said "I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish" vs. 16

I can't imagine my life being a tool in the hand of God. Can't imagine me playing a part in God's plans and purposes. I do find it amazing going through life, learning, growing, meeting new people, the ups and downs of life that my God is very much present, even though it might not seem to be the case. For Esther, God was present in her life and He was with her and His people. He did not leave her, but He was there with Esther.

 I want to be a bold woman, (just like Esther) that when faced with a situation that I will run to God. I know that my God is able to fight my battles. I don't have to be alone in a situation that is out of my control. I want to walk by faith and always trust in the Creator of the world.

When I think of the words from Mordecai, "And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" I think back to when I was younger and would question God, why He put me on this earth? I felt when I was younger that I was "no good" and not worthy to live any longer. I use to feel that way but getting to know my God I know there is more for me. I know that God put me in this life for a reason. It is no mistake why I was born to family I now have, born the with a hearing problem, no mistake about my height, my personality, no mistake about the people who came into my life, and no mistake with all the life situation I have went through. I know I am not a mistake.  I also know that God can use me in this life and I just want to say "yes" and to follow Him knowing that He is present in my life.

True Woman Movement--Chapter Three

Mary identifies in the book that the foundational premise of feminism as: “[We] need and can trust no other authority than [our] own personal truth. The women of the feminisnist movement, had the belif in self-fullment and trusting in their ways. When we choose to trust in ourselves we choose to go against the ways of God.

When we choose to trust in God:

Psalm 32:10
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked;
But he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him.

Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

Psalm 5:11
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.

When you choose to trust in yourself:

Job 15:31
Let him not deceive himself by trusting what is worthless,
for he will get nothing in return.

Jeremiah 17:5
This is what the LORD says:
"Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who depends on flesh for his strength
and whose heart turns away from the LORD.

Proverbs 28:26
 He who trusts in his own heart is a fool,
But whoever walks wisely will be delivered

True Woman Movement--Chapter Two

God knows everything about everything---He is all-knowing---He is unsearchable---He is inscrutable---He is inexhaustible

What a God we serve!!! As I continue to get to know and spend time with Him, I am getting to how powerful and awesome He is. I must remind myself of who He is, because I know I quickly forget about the God I serve. My God knows everything about everything; there is nothing that He does not know.
I use to worry about the future and what could happen next. I  realized that it was me, wanting to have control over everything, truth is, I can't control everything and I don't know "everything about everything."

When we, began to know the God we serve, we start to realize that He is able to carry us through whatever will come our way, Instead of worrying about everything or wanting to know everything, we should trust in the Creator of this universe. There is no need to question the Creator about, "if He knows what He is doing". We might not understand what He is doing, but we have to trust that He knows what He is doing.

What is a true woman?

1. She lives a God-centered life--she embrace what God has called her to be, embrace the purpose for her creation as a woman. God is the center of her world. She lives to bring glory and honor to His Name.

2. She trust in God-- trusting in Him about the future and not fretting at what is to come in the future. Trusting in Him, who is the Creator of the universe. Knowing that what God is doing is for her good.

3. She says "yes Lord"--Surrendering all to the Lord. She knows her life is not her own. There is full obedience from her and submission.

My prayer is that I will become a woman who lives a God-center life, trust in Him completely and says "yes Lord" and not to question His knowledge. I am not perfect, but I pray that everyday as I spend time with Him and growing Him, I will become more and more like Him. I want to live for Him, glory and honor to His Name.

My Summer Internship Experience

Interning at Child Abuse Prevention Center has been a great experience. I am learning so much and realize even more how much I want to reach out to children. To be able to teach them about Christ and show them the love of Christ.  There are so many people of all ages in this world that are hurting and it saddens my heart. There is so much going on in the lives of people, that just hearing their stories will bring tears to your eyes. I want to be able to reach out to people and point them to Christ. I just want to encourage the believer's to pray for people who are struggling, in pain, and/or been abused in anyway. Everyday, someone is going through a tough situation, and they need encouragement and help. Pray that we as God's children will point people to Christ.

True Woman Movement--Chapter One

 Pastor John Piper states in the book that:

“Wimpy theology makes wimpy women . . . .
Wimpy theology simply does not give a woman a God who is big enough,
strong enough, wise enough, and good enough to handle the realities of life
in a way that magnifies the infinite worth of Jesus Christ.” “plagued by woman-centeredness and mancenteredness.”  pg.19

Question: "Would your theology most accurately be described as “wimpy” or “God-centered”?

When we don't know our God for ourselves, we can be very easy to be swayed by what others say about the Word of God. When we don't remind ourselves of who He is, it can be easy to forget how powerful and merciful our God is. I have this urge to know my God for myself and learn all that I can about the God I serve. Everyone has their view of who God is and what He can do, but when we read the Word of God, there is no mistaking in who He is.

The Word of God is our guide, the Word gives life, the Word give instruction and the Word convicts us. As a young woman, I am surrounded by people, television and magazines that gives advice on how I should live. I don't want to follow the ways of this world, but follow God's Word and what He requires from His woman. The world might say beauty is blue eyes, long blonde  hair, tall and skinny. I want to let God define beauty and who I am in Him. I would encourage Christian ladies, to not let the world define beauty for them but let God. (1 Peter 3:3-4, Proverbs 31:30).

Intimacy With God

When I think of "intimacy with God," I think of a relationship in which I am able to be vulnerable and to be open in communication with God. I also think of the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I believe that the Trinity is a great model to intimacy.

I also think that intimacy with God is a privilege. When man sin against God, there was a separation between us and God. We were seen as an enemy to God, But because of Christ sacrifice, we are now able to stand before God and be in fellowship with Him. Since we have this privilege and a gift, we should have a relationship with God. We are after all created to know Him, so we should get to know Him.

I would encourage that we not neglect the One, who created us and formed us in His image. God longs for us to be in relationship with Him. I know how life can distract us and and how quickly we can get busy, pray that we don't let our "busyness" get in the way of having a relationship with God.

Consider Jesus. Know Jesus. Learn what kind of Person it is you say you trust and love and worship. Soak in the shadow of Jesus. Saturate your soul with the ways of Jesus. Watch Him. Listen to Him. Stand in awe of Him. Let Him overwhelm you with the way He is. --John Piper
God desires and is pleased to communicate with us through the avenues of our minds, our wills, and our emotions. The continuous and unembarrassed interchange of love and thought between God and the souls of the redeemed men and women is the throbbing heart of the New Testament. --A. W. Tozer

Knowing God is more than knowing about Him; it is a matter of dealing with Him as He opens up to you, and being dealt with by Him as He takes knowledge of you. Knowing about Him is a necessary precondition of trusting in Him, but the width of our knowledge about Him is no gauge of our knowledge of Him. --James I (J. I.) Packer

What were we made for? To know God. What aim should we have in life? To know God. What is the eternal life that Jesus gives? To know God. What is the best thing in life? To know God. What in humans gives God most pleasure? Knowledge of himself. --James I (J. I.) Packer
